C&T Matrix strengthens its leadership position in die consumables with a majority investment in Clear group.

C&T Matrix, the world leader in the supply of creasing matrix and related consumables,  today announced the strategic acquisition of Clear Group, based in Valencia, Spain. 

C&T is the world leader in the manufacture of creasing matrix and die consumables with manufacturing and distribution operations in the UK , US, China, Italy and India. As well as its own subsidiaries, C&T has a large network of more than 130 distributors in 70 countries around the world. One of the company’s key strategies is to become closer to its end customers through investment with key distributors as well as the extension of its manufacturing capabilities.

Clear Group was founded in 1993 by Juan Carlos Montesinos and has grown to be the undisputed market leader in the manufacture and distribution die supplies in Spain and Portugal. In recent years, Clear has made significant investment in its manufacturing processes adding laser cutting, rubber conversion, injection moulding and die machinery to its already extensive production capability.

The investment by C&T Matrix will bring significant benefits to both parties. C&T benefits from securing its long term distribution in Southern Europe and from gaining access to Clear’s extended manufactured range of products. Clear can take advantage C&T’s global manufacturing experience, its distribution scale and strong financial support.
